I think this says it all re: The horned hypocrite...

Discuss your preferences in an intelligent manner; wank, bashing, trolling and puerile insults are unwelcome.

I guess it's ok for a mod to character bash (yet again....)

Challenge it then, my good sir. Fandom can be positive but placing an "acceptable" limit on dicourse can be both damaging and censorial.

Then again, the cynical part of me says don't bother. Energy might be better spent posting a witty soubriquet here. Afterall, no point in you getting banned/censored too.

You're talking about a mod who not only allows promotion of real-person "fanfic", but actually goes out of his way delete non-flaming criticism of the practice. (Apparently, ethics = wank). Hard to take this person - or that community - seriously.

I left that community years ago and spend my time on GB instead, where I may not always agree with the mods, but at least they're consistent and highly ethical. I joined this community hoping it would become a viable LJ alternative, but it's really just a snark community, isn't it? (And here I am, snarking. *sigh*)

Ah LJ, we hardly knew ye.

I guess his "perception" is rather screwed, sadly.

Snarking can be good, the person who created this comm was banned by THG and it was created to offer an uncensored way of challenging posts there as both of us cannot reply. So, snark perhaps but freedom of speech, most certainly.

I post threads that I feel are unjust or hypocrtical.
